Bridezilla's and Teary Grooms

Hey reader(s)... if anyone actually reads this thing!

Let me start by saying wedding planning is no joke! My Fiance and I are in the midst of wedding planning and have come to realization that it's not all butterflies and rainbows.  I've always sworn I will never become one of those bridezillas, but I now have an understanding of why some women become crazy fire-breathing monsters who want to crush every thing and everyone in their path (somewhat of an idea).
Yikes!! Glad I'm not like this!

It's stressful! You have to call around to a million places to see if they have availability, how many guests they can fit, how much their menu runs for the amount of guests you have, booking a photographer, yada yada yada.

My Fiance and I have been engaged since December 30, 2011 and have almost everything booked/ready to go for our April 27, 2013 wedding.  You could say I'm way ahead of the game, but I prefer to be organized and ready as early as possible versus running around like a crazy lady trying to get everything situated at the last minute.  After all, this is supposed to be one of the most joyous times in your life, and that's exactly what I want!  I'll admit, I was freaking out in the beginning and felt so overwhelmed with information, but I feel so much better now that everything is falling into place.  I found my dream... and ladies, I mean D-R-E-A-M dress, and veil.  The only thing we have left to do is book the photographer, order a cake, order flowers and a few other minor details. Oh yea, and make sure I don't gain any weight, like it's a totally achievable thing a year from now- hello 1,300 calorie diet for the next 365+ days!  Seriously not fun, especially when I could eat cheese-its and macaroni & cheese all day everyday!

My favorite part of any wedding is the look on the grooms face when he's standing at the altar and sees his bride.  It's the most precious thing ever.  Check out these photos:
You can tell he's the happiest man
in the world at this very moment.

My favorite! If a man cries when he
sees his bride, then it's instant tears for me!

I love love love weddings and am actually attending one this upcoming weekend.  I can't wait until our big day and to see the look on my grooms face when he first sees me at the entrance of the church, arm in arm with my dad (who married my mom in that very church almost 25 years ago).  Our day will definitely be the most amazing day of our lives thus far, but remember while you're planning your own wedding- the most important thing is to remember to stay grounded and happy! It's YOUR day.

Best Wishes,
