Bag Balm- Not Just For Farmers & Cow Parts...!

Bloggies, my eczema is outta control these days!  I haven't lived in the cold for a few years, so my eczema was chillin' for a while, but it definitely made its comeback this past month!  For those that have dry/itchy skin the winter, I have the BEST product you'll ever find when it comes to relief.

Bag Balm is seriously the most amazing winter moisturizer out there.  Don't be weirded out by the cow udders on the packaging. It has been used by farmers since 1899 to keep their cow's udders moisturized during the harsh winters in Vermont.  Trust me- I'm from Connecticut and those winters are freezing!  It's been used on humans ever since they discovered how moisturizing it was on the cows.  It contains lanolin, which is sheep sebum (humans have this too- it's when we produce wax/grease/oil).  It stays on your skin for a very long time so there's no need to constantly reapply this stuff.

It's a thick, yellow, almost greasy substance.  You just take a goop of it and rub on the dry area.  I use mine all over my knuckles (they crack and bleed during the cold weather- how attractive) and shins.  I swear you'll love your skin after you give this ish a try.  I got this at Walgreen's for $9.99.  It's a 10 oz. can, so it'll last you for a very long time, especially if you only use it in the winter.

Bag balm, you have saved my life.  For some reason, it made me think of Silence of the Lambs where Buffalo Bill says his famous "It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again" line (in a non creepy, psycho way, peeps).
