UPDATE- There's Something Lurking on Your Brushes...

Okay, so I know in my previous post, There's Something Lurking on Your Face..., I mentioned you should clean your brushes once a week to get the grimy oil/dirt and makeup off those b's, but I've found a better way (and more effective way) to do so!

This way seriously cleans your brushes ten times better and removes the oils (which is hard to get off those nasty things!).  Take a look at this dirty leftover-ness from when I just washed my brushes:

Just downright yuck, Emma Stone.

So what's this amazing concoction made up of?  Well, my friends, you're in luck!  I've mastered how to perfect the dreaded makeup cleansing technique (if there is such a technique, that is).  It takes only 3 ingredients!

In a 1 cup liquid measuring cup, take:
-1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar
-1/2 tbs of dish detergent (can be a knock-off brand)
-fill the rest of the measuring cup with hot water
-let the brushes soak for 5 minutes, then rise with lukewarm water and lay flat to dry

You can clearly see in the picture where the brushes have been removed that it clearly cleans them!  I can't believe all that dirt/oil/grime was on my brushes (and I just cleaned them a week ago!).  Definitely going to be doing this at least once a week.  Word.
