Beauty Blender vs. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

We all know that cosmetic sponges have been popular for the past year or so and have became "the thing". I jumped on this bandwagon (ugh, I sound like I'm 100 years old) last year before my April wedding because I wanted to have the most natural and flawless look I could have while applying my foundation to give my skin that airbrushed look.

I purchased the beauty blender on Amazon last year for $19.95 and immediately fell in love with it! I practiced applying my foundation with my wee wittle sponge (that's right, I use baby talk constantly) and became addicted to using it every time I wore makeup. The only thing I disliked about it was that it wore down quickly, which I guess is to be expected when you use it nearly everyday. I was foolish and purchased a duo pack after about three months from my first purchase for $39.95. I say foolish because that's a ton of money to spend on a sponge.

I discovered the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for only $6 at Ulta! This little doodad is simply perfection in a squishy sponge. It applies your makeup just as well if not better than the Beauty Blender and it's almost softer in my opinion. Plus, it's only $6, so when it wares down you don't feel ridiculous buying at $20 sponge. Seriously recommend this product if you're looking to try a cosmetic sponge!

If you'd like to see a tutorial on how apply my foundation, leave a comment! Also, if you've tried this sponge or the Beauty Blender, leave me a comment and let me know which you prefer!
