Favorite's Friday: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I'm starting a new series called Favorite's Friday, where I.... feature a favorite product of mine each Friday. Bet you didn't guess that! I think it'll be a fun weekly post instead of doing a massive monthly favorites post each month. Be sure to look for these posts each Friday!

First up for my Favorite's Friday post is this gem here:

It's really hard for me to find a foundation that makes my skin happy, in fact, my skin wants to kill me half the time, so it's next to impossible to find one for my acne-prone, oil-drenched skin. Yes, I sound so incredibly attractive. Ugh. Anyway, I'm so excited to proclaim my love for this foundation- it's become a staple in my makeup collection.

Before this purchase, I never bought a high end foundation because, well, they're just too expensive. I usually gravitate toward oil-free drugstore foundations, but figured I'd make the splurge after hearing such wonderful things about it, and Estee Lauder being recommended by my dermatologist. I'm so glad I did! The term "you get what you pay for" now makes complete sense.

Double Wear is a 15-hour foundation that claims to hold up through humidity and heat. It's also oil-free and non-acnegenic which is perfect for sensitive skin. I've had this little baby for about a month now and can honestly say it's my favorite foundation, hands down. I don't even have to set this with a powder (*GASP* if you have oily skin) and it lasts from morning til night with no touch ups for me!

The color selection is perfect- it comes in 30 different shades including neutral, cool and warm. My shade is 1N2 Ecru (AKA I'm really pale) and it's the perfect match. The foundation is also available in a variety of olive tones which is often the hardest to match.

I only have two downfalls with this foundation. It doesn't come with a pump, which for me is a must because I want my makeup to stay sanitized. Luckily, you can purchase a Nars or Mac pump (for around $5) and it'll fit perfectly. I actually used a pump I had on an old Almay foundation. I had to cut about 1/2 inch off the pump, but it works perfectly. Also, the foundation is on the pricey side at around $37 for 1 fl oz but is worth every penny for the quality you're getting.

With that, I wish you all a happy Friday!
