How To: Style Fall Boots

I'm obsessed with boots. It's no secret that I live in these things half of the year. They're the most comfortable shoes and compliment the girly/boho look I'm into. There's so many boots out there for fall/winter, so I've decided to do a post on some boot inspiration to hopefully help someone looking for some new boots this season and tips on how to style them!

  1. Combat boots. These have become my favorite boots for fall because they provide so much support for your feet and feel like you're walking on a cloud. Plus they're pretty durable. Pair these with jeans and a casual t-shirt or baggy sweater. Try to avoid dressy shirts/sweaters.
  2. Knee-highs. I personally prefer mine without heels, but if you're that sassy girl who feels like being sexy for a date night or a night out with the girls, then pair heeled knee-highs with a dress and large cardigan. If you're going for the more casual look and don't like heels, wear flat knee-highs with some jeggings, jeans or leggings with a casual top.
  3. Booties. These are the most versatile in my opinion when it comes to styling. These can be dressed up or dressed down. For a day-to-night look, wear with dark jeggings and a casual top then throw on a faux leather jacket for an edgy and sexy look.
  4. Wedge booties. These bad boys are all about dressy looks. Pair with leather leggings and a sexy top or a dress (with opaque tights) and a large, thick cardigan. You really can't go wrong with wedge booties if you're looking for comfortable but dressy boots.
  5. Faux leather riding boots. These boots are for the days you're going apple picking, pumpkin picking, bonfires or just a casual day where you're going to be outside most of the day. They keep your feet/legs nice and warm and give off that comfy-casual vibe. I pair mine with jeggings and an over-sized sweater.

Stay tuned for a couple fall inspired looks coming within the next week or so.What are your favorite boots for fall and how do you style them?

    1. Hi Faith! You should take the plunge and wear some booties! I was so reserved with my fashion choices until last fall when I went on a whim and got some combat boots (I didn't like them at first either) and boy do I love them now! For riding boots, try something like this. I found a pair similar to these at T.J. Maxx for only $40 and they're amazing :)
