Let it Grow: Month 4

Hello loves! I hope you're all having a blessed holiday season! Can you believe Christmas is next week? Is it just me or does it seem to be creeping up real fast this year?

If you're not familiar with my blog, in September I introduced a new series called "Let it Grow" where each month I try different combinations of "hair growth tips" that I research and on the 15th of each month I take a picture to measure just how much they're speeding up the average hair growth process to determine what's myth vs. fact. To read month 1, click here and to read month 2, click here and month 3, click here.

The picture from month 1 was taken on September 15, a few weeks after a haircut where I was talked into how damaged it was so it needed to be cut short, blah blah blah. The picture from month 2 was taken October 15, and the picture from month 3 was taken November 15 while the picture from month 4 was taken early this morning (hence the darkness).

If you couldn't already tell, I did my own ombre/balayage so my hair is considerably lighter, and I love it! To find out how I did it myself, click here. Anyway, month 3 I saw nearly 3/4 of an inch which is the most growth I've seen in my Let it Grown series! That month I was using a combo of Lee Stafford's Hair Growth Treatment once a week along with taking 5,000 MCG of Biotin daily. This past month I've only seen about 1/4 of an inch. All I did was take 5,000 MCG of Biotin daily with no additional products to see if it's just the Biotin that's speeding up the hair growth process, but I've had the least amount of hair growth this month. Bah-humbug.

To see if I can grown it longer for month 5 I'm going to continue taking 5,000 MCG of Biotin and also add a multivitamin which contains folic acid which is claimed to be a "miracle worker" according to numerous pins on Pinterest. Check back January 15 to see my progress!

  3. My hair-dresser has always told my my hair grows really fast, but I've never known why. I do take a women's multi-vite, but never biotin; however...I'm gonna go look right now to see if there is biotin in my multi-vite. I take Alive Women's which I love!

    1. Most vitamins do have Biotin.. mine only had 20% of your daily value so I figured I'd add in some more :) I'll have to check out Alive Women's! Thanks for reading! xo
