The Perfect Pick-Me-Up Smoothie!

Can you guys believe Christmas is this week? I'm so excited to have family in town beginning this afternoon, so sorry for any delay in postings over the next week! I promise I'll get back to my frequent postings after Christmas!

A while back I shared my favorite post-workout smoothie recipe using my Magic Bullet which I'm still obsessed with. I'm still keeping up with my every other day workout regime (go me!) and I have the same two fruit smoothies after each workout which can get a little repetitive. So, today I'm sharing a new smoothie recipe that would be perfect for any time of day, not just post-workout for those of you who are not into working out!

Perfect [Morning] Pick-Me-Up Smoothie:

1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup frozen strawberries
1 tsp Kiss Me Organics Organic Matcha*
8 oz almond milk
2 oz water

Trust me- it'll look and taste delish once blended!
Blend for 10 seconds and wallah!

You're probably all, "what the heck is Kiss Me Organics Organic Matcha?" Well my friends, it's certified organic finely milled green tea powder exclusively available for purchase on You know, similar to the brewed green tea that's so yummy and good for you, only Matcha Green Tea contains 137x the antioxidants of brewed green tea! Not only is it high in antioxidants, it also boots metabolism, provides all day energy and focus and improves skin health. Since adding to my breakfast smoothies in the past two weeks, I've noticed I haven't reached for that second cup of coffee after the usual dreaded 2:30 crash which is speaking volumes for me because I love coffee! The best thing about Matcha is that you can add it to basically any recipe, whether it be smoothies, baking, lattes, the list goes on! (PSSSST- I snuck some into a cake recipe I used last week and hubby didn't even notice! He's not the health food type, so you better believe I'm sneaking some into each baking recipe since he can't taste it and won't know he's secretly eating healthy!)
