The Search for the Perfect Everyday Foundation: Physicians Formula Super CC+

I've been on the hunt for the perfect everyday foundation/BB/CC cream for at least a year now. With my fair, oily, acne-prone skin it's hard to find something that won't cause breakouts, will last all day and that matches my skin tone. I've tried foundations from nearly every drugstore brand and have never repurchased a drugstore foundation. I do love my Estee Lauder Double Wear, but it's a full-coverage foundation that's too heavy for everyday wear.

I recently tried Physician's Formula Super CC+ Color-Correction + Care Cream SPF 30 (gee that's a mouthful) and figured I'd share my thoughts on it.

The packaging is beautiful and comes in a squeeze tube which I love because you can control how much product you want to use unlike most drugstore foundations. But that's basically the only positive thing I have to say about this CC cream, which is sad because I had such high hopes as I usually love everything from Physician's Formula.

First off, be forewarned that there's only two shades: light and light/medium. Being on the fair side, I chose the light shade and thought it'd be the perfect match. When I first put it on my face, the color looked great- not too light or too dark. But then I actually blended it in and it transformed into a yellow/orange shade on my skin.

Obviously, the lightest shade is only for those with yellow undertones, and I'm more neutral. I wore this foundation everyday for a week to form a true opinion and despite how much I tried to make it work, I just can't get over how yellow/orange it makes my skin tone. Apart from the coloring being off, even with a setting powder and not using a moisturizer underneath, it still left my skin feeling like a grease ball. In addition, this foundation retails anywhere from $11-14, which is ridiculously pricey. So, needless to say I will be returning this product and will continue the search for the perfect drugstore foundation.

Have you tried this CC cream? What are your thoughts?
