Beauty Trends I'm Not On Board With

Beauty trends are constantly changing- remember crimped hair and frosted tips? NEVER. AGAIN. Sorry, JT. There are a few recent trends that I just can't get on board with. #Nope

1. Strobing.Okay, first things first; your face shouldn't look like glitter exploded on it. I'm not trying to be rude, but it doesn't look natural when you pile on the highlighter. Some highlighting? Yes, I wear some. However, it should be used in moderation (like ice cream- we all love it, but we shouldn't eat a ton each day, no matter how strong the craving).  Go easy with it and it'll look more natural.

2. Stark white under eyes. Stick to a concealer one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Any lighter makes it look like you have that white clown makeup on (anyone watching that show Baskets with Zach Galifianakis?). Yea, it's not a good everyday look.

3. Wearing fake eyelashes on the reg. I understand certain formal events call for a dramatic makeup look where it's appropriate to wear false lashes, but falsies shouldn't be used every day. Just be comfortable with your lashes and apply a few coats of mascara if you must. You'll look more beautiful without false lashes!

4. Extreme contouring. Honey, we all know your cheekbones aren't that chiseled (unless the really are, then we envy you). Go light on the contour- this is where less really is more.

Which beauty trends are you not on board with?
