Anniversary Getaway Recap

I feel so refreshed, you guys! My husband and I celebrated our three year anniversary a couple weeks ago and decided to take a mini vacation to Big Cedar Lodge which is a little less than an hour away near Branson (for those that don't know, we live in the Ozarks). There's nothing like a weekend getaway to clear your mind!

Big Cedar Lodge is a resort owned by Bass Pro, so you know it was centered around wilderness activities. We stayed in our own private cabin and had the package for a spa appointment and one round of golf at Top of the Rock- you know, created by Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer, some of golf's greatest players of all time. NO BIG DEAL. Yea, right. I'm pretty sure I hyperventilated when I saw this golf course. These pictures don't do it justice, but the view was absolutely breathtaking:

View from the 1st tee
The cutest chapel ever on the 1st tee
View from the 4th tee

Along with golf, we took a canyon tour where you drive your own golf cart through a few caves and waterfalls. Did I mention there was a bar inside the cave? It was pretty awesome!

We ended the weekend with pedicures and a night at the Buzzard Bar, a local hot spot with the best pizza known to man.

This weekend was unforgettable! I strongly urge you to take a trip to the Ozarks to see this beautiful property and play at Top of the Rock if you're a golfer. It's definitely worth the money!

Now I'm feeling depressed from recapping the weekend- why can't vacations last forever?
