The 3 Best Drugstore Matte Lipsticks (That Anyone Could Have)

Did the "Three Best Friends that Anyone Could Have" song from The Hangover just get stuck in your head? I had to. #SorryNotSorry

Unless you've been living under a rock, you're well aware of the makeup craze that is matte lipstick. Matte versus sheer/glossy lip products- what's the difference? Long story short, sheer and satin lipsticks are infused with oil, moisturizing your lips and giving them a more plump look. Matte lipsticks give your lips a more natural, flushed color without providing moisture. The main difference? Glosses and satin lipsticks don't last quite long with touch-ups needed throughout the day while matte lip products last much longer since they don't contain any oils.

Now that you're aware of the difference between a satin/glossy versus a matte lipstick, I figured I'd do a quick rundown on my favorite drugstore matte lip products! These are all relatively affordable—I say relatively because the drugstore has been steadily increasing their prices. #WTH

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid. I own three of these bad boys. This liquid lipstick feels moisturizing on the lips without giving them a glossy look or feel after it dries. It feels like you're wearing nothing, but this product gives you a nice flush of color (depending on the shade, some are more opaque than others). The only downfall to these is that the color easily transfers before it dries- make sure you give your lips a solid 10 minutes to try before eating/drinking anything. These are about $8 and can be found at pretty much any drugstore.

L'oreal Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Pen. I only own one shade (Matte for Me), but this lip pen is amazing. I will say it's a little drying, but the color lasts and entire day for me regardless of how many cups of coffee I consume. DON'T JUDGE ME. These retail for about $9-10.

Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color. OMG- my absolute favorite matte lip product OF LIFE! This retails for only $5-6 and has such an amazing color payoff. This lipstick is a little drying, but be sure to apply lip balm 10-15 minutes prior to applying this. I have the colors Daringly Nude, Clay Crush and Rich Ruby, and they're all so amazing. You seriously can't get a better matte lipstick for the price!

Have you tried any of these products? If so, what do you think of them? Let me know in the comments below and leave your suggestions! I love trying new lip products!
