What's the Deal with This Baking Trend?

Bake me a cake as fast as you can! Nope, not talking about dessert, although a McFlurry sounds real good right about now (even though you don't bake it...), but we're talking about the popular "baking" trend in the makeup world!

Baking is just another way to set your under eye concealer. Because concealer is usually on the hydrating side and tends to slip and slide around your face, you must set it with a powder to avoid it melting off. Concealer also tends to crease throughout the day and settle into fine lines, so setting it with powder is a must. You can also bake your face to make fine lines appear less noticeable!

So how do you bake your face? It's super easy!

Simply take any loose setting powder- I recommend Covergirl's Setting Powder- and dab a generous amount over anywhere you applied concealer either with a brush or beauty sponge and let it sit for about 5 minutes. After it sits, dust it off your face with a brush and voila- beautifully set makeup that lasts all day!

Are you into the baking trend?

  1. I've never heard of this, but I might have to try it!

    1. You should, especially if you have combo/oily skin! :)
