Worth the Bargain: BH Cosmetics Brushes

If you're a makeup junkie like myself then you're familiar with the brand BH Cosmetics- a Los Angeles based makeup company that has quality products at everyday low prices. Their prices are seriously amazing; eye shadow palettes are around $20, brush sets between $20-30, etc. Their brushes are all synthetic so they're cruelty-free which is an A+ in my book.

You know when your brushes look dingy after several washes and the bristles start to fall out? There's nothing you can do for your brushes at that point. I knew I didn't want to purchase expensive brushes like MAC or It Cosmetics, but I knew I didn't want more drugstore brushes after my last ones pooped out on me, so I figured I'd try some from BH Cosmetics.

They have so many affordable makeup brush sets to choose from! The packing is adorable and nearly every set comes with a cute brush holder/travel case, making it easy to just grab and go or leave them on your makeup organizer lookin' all cute. It was really hard to choose just one set, but I knew I wanted a set that included blending brushes and a contour brush. Each set it different, so be sure to examine the individual brushes prior to making a purchase!

I decided on the Studded Couture 12 Piece Brush Set because 1. the brushes were adorable, 2. it included a variety of crease brushes and 3. the brushes were adorable. The set includes the following brushes: large angled contour brush, flat buffing brush, precision blush brush, angled face shader brush (I'm not quite sure how to use this one), pointed foundation brush, large concealer brush, domed blending brush, fluff shadow brush, tapered blending brush, angled shading brush, pencil brush, and an angled liner & brow brush.

The brushes are extremely soft and apply my makeup beautifully! I'm really impressed by them. One thing I will say is that the brushes are much larger in person, especially the blending brushes and the pencil brush, but it's nothing you can't work with.

Have you tried brushes from BH Cosmetics? What are some of your holy grail brushes?
