How to Save Money at Ulta

Ulta is one of my favorite places to shop; you have high-end products on one side and drugstore products on the other, not to mention the really freakin' cute travel sized stuff in the bins next to the registers (does anyone else get sucked into how cute those mini products are)? 99% of the time I tend to stay on the drugstore side because high-end makeup is expensive and isn't something I buy regularly.
You may have noticed that the drugstore makeup can sometimes be a little more expensive than shopping at Walmart or Target, but there are some tips on saving money at Ulta and I wanted to share with you some things I've learned along the way in my makeup journey!

First, and the most important thing, is to be sure to join their rewards program! Their rewards program is similar to any other program; you earn points for each purchase you make that can be redeemed for free products. In addition to earning points you also receive exclusive member-exclusive magazines with coupons, a birthday present and a few other perks. Pssst- it's totally free!

My favorite thing about Ulta? You can use manufacturer coupons! YES, you read that correctly. Ulta accepts most manufacturer coupons and even allows you to combine those coupons with your Ulta coupon (more on that in a second)! You can end up saving more money on a purchase at Ulta than shopping at an actual drugstore because of the double coupons!

As you just read above, Ulta offers in-store and online coupons! Each month they offer either a $3.50 off $15 or a 20% off coupon! If you're a rewards member then you'll receive these coupons each month in the mail, or you can look for the coupon online or in their app. They used to have extra coupons at the registers if you forgot yours but they don't anymore so make sure you're prepared!

Also look out for their 21 Days of Beauty sales (usually in the spring and fall). They have incredible deals on high-end products during these sales; each day has a different product/deal.

There you have it folks, a few ways to save money during your next trip to Ulta! Happy shopping!
